What should be paid attention to when maintaining reverse osmosis equipment?

Feb. 08, 2023

1. Strictly control the quality of the influent water to ensure that the device operates under the water quality conditions that meet the influent water indicators. If the influent water quality does not meet the requirements, it is very easy to cause fouling of the reverse osmosis membrane, making the consumables quickly invalid, and seriously affecting the water quality of the effluent.

2. The total water inflow of reverse osmosis is controlled by the RO water inlet regulating valve. If the reverse osmosis water inflow does not change, do not tamper with the RO water inlet regulating valve, and it is strictly forbidden to fully open or fully close it. The RO concentrated discharge regulating valve is used to adjust the recovery rate of the system. If the recovery rate does not change, do not tamper with the concentrated discharge regulating valve. It is absolutely forbidden to fully open or fully close.

3. The device cannot be shut down for a long time, and it should run for at least 2 hours a day. If it is going to be shut down for more than 72 hours, a chemical cleaning device should be used to fill the components with 1% sodium bisulfate and 18% glycerin for protection.

4. Every time the reverse osmosis device starts up after shutting down, the device should be flushed for 10 minutes under the condition that the inlet water pressure is less than 0.4Mpa.

5. The operating pressure control should be as low as possible on the premise of meeting the water production rate and water quality, which is conducive to reducing the water flux attenuation of the membrane and reducing the replacement rate of the membrane.

6. The operator should record the operating parameters every hour, and check the usage of the pure water equipment and the quality of the effluent.

7. When the reverse osmosis equipment has a high and low pressure alarm, first check whether the opening of the manual valve between the security filter and the high pressure pump is too small, then check whether the RO water inlet regulating valve and the concentrated discharge valve are normal, and then press the high and low pressure alarm Reset button to restart the pure water production equipment.

8. Inlet water temperature control should be based on the actual water consumption, and the critical pressure (the pressure value at which the water desalination rate drops significantly below this value) cannot meet the water production and water quality requirements as the inlet water temperature within this period of time. temperature, which can reduce the attenuation of membrane water volume.
