(1) Ensure that the reverse osmosis feed water does not contain residual chlorine:
Install an online ORP instrument or a residual chlorine detection instrument in the reverse osmosis water inlet pipeline, and by adding a reducing agent such as sodium bisulfite, real-time detection ensures that the influent water does not contain residual chlorine.
For the water source that meets the standard discharge wastewater and the system uses ultrafiltration as pretreatment, the method of chlorination is generally used to control the microbial contamination of ultrafiltration. Under this operating condition, a combination of on-line instrumentation and periodic off-line measurement should be used to detect residual chlorine and ORP in water.
(2) The reverse osmosis cleaning system should be separated from the ultrafiltration cleaning to avoid the residual chlorine of the ultrafiltration system leaking into the reverse osmosis system.
(3) It is recommended to use non-oxidizing bactericides such as isothiazoline or DBNPA for the sterilization process of the reverse osmosis system.
