After over 40 years of research by the chemistry division of French National Scientific Research Institute (CNRS), a team of scientists from the institute confirmed that a mixture of inorganic salts can completely prevent the formation of scale and delay the corrosion of various metals. This technology is named "FOF". Since 2007, the FOF research team in France has collaborated with water treatment experts from China to synthesize, for the first time in the world, a high-purity solid form of FOF, making the technology a product and enabling mass production. It is named "FOF-Fauveau" Scale Inhibition and Corrosion Prevention Technology. This has injected new blood into the water treatment industry worldwide and marks the arrival of the era of scale-free cold and hot water systems.
The following are the main advantages or features of the "FOF-Fauveau" technology:
1. Its solid product can achieve truly controlled micro-dissolution and corrosion inhibition, dissolving in a predetermined water volume according to a predetermined amount.
2. The pH value is approximately 7, and it does not change the acidity or alkalinity of the water.
3. The effective working concentration is less than 1 ppm, with ultra-low phosphorus content.
4. The scale inhibition effect is above 99.5%, basically achieving scale-free.
5. It effectively improves the corrosion condition of metals.
6. Its physical and chemical properties are stable, non-volatile, non-reactive, and non-flammable, and can maintain its effect at high temperatures (the current tested water temperature is 200°C).
7. The scale inhibition and corrosion inhibition effect is not affected by external factors, and the effect lasts for a long time.
8. It is safe and environmentally friendly, and the water treated by it meets drinking water standards and can be drunk.
Brief introduction to the working principle of "FOF-Fauveau" technology
The formation of scale crystals consists of two stages, namely, nucleation and crystal lattice. It includes a total of six processes, namely, the formation, growth, and maturity of the nucleation, the formation, growth, and maturity of the crystal lattice. Traditional scale inhibitors focus on interfering with the formation of the nucleation and the growth of the crystal lattice during the process using dispersion, dissolution, and other methods, which can achieve partial scale inhibition effects. However, the "FOF-Fauveau" technology uses particle chelation technology to interfere with the formation of the nucleation from the early stage, so that various scale-forming factors cannot bind to it, thus killing the scale in the initial stage and achieving complete scale inhibition effects.
Because the "FOF-Fauveau technology" has an advanced working principle, it has obvious scale inhibition effects on high salinity, high hardness, and high alkalinity water, and the stability of the drug is very good. The test proves that the scale inhibition effect is not reduced within 200℃. This means that many scale inhibition problems that could not be solved in the past can now be solved through this technology.
