What are the advantages of using a mixed bed system?

Jan. 02, 2023

Mixed bed is short for mixed ion exchange column, a certain proportion of anion and cation exchange resin mixed and filled in the same exchange device, the fluid in the ion exchange, removal. It is commonly used in ion exchange desalination (pure water) systems for deep desalination equipment, which can be set up in desalination systems after electrodialysis, reverse osmosis and cation and anion level chemical desalination devices to produce high quality desalinated water and high purity water. What are the advantages of using a mixed bed system?

The mixed bed system has the following advantages.

(1) Excellent effluent water quality, with a pH value close to neutral.

(2) stable water quality, a short period of time changes in operating conditions (such as feed water quality or components, operating flow rate, etc.) on the mixed bed water quality impact is not significant.

(3) The impact of intermittent operation on the effluent quality is small, and the time required to restore to the water quality before shutdown is relatively short.
